The past two years has felt like a powerful cultural dust-up. A whirlwind of current events that has caused humanity to look introspectively on a global level. From a caustic political environment, to a pandemic, to the killing of many innocent black Americans such as George Floyd, I find myself at a loss for words. The best way for me to express my feelings (at their most critical core), has been through art and music. This series entitled “Fragments of Ourselves” is one such artistic endeavor. It’s a project that connects cultural events to my most abstract dreams and subconscious. None of these works attempt to answer anything specific. Rather, they reflect what I see around me. I would encourage you to dive into these dream-like works and find what you need. Perhaps you see nothing, and that too is OK.
